WISEs4Youth is a two-years Erasmus + project (2022-2024) involving five partners from the Western Balkans (Albania – Partners Albania, Croatia – Act Group, North Macedonia – CDI Macedonia, Serbia – IDC Serbia, Slovenia - SENT). The project aimed at creating training and mobility activities for social entrepreneurial skills development targeting potential young social entrepreneurs in Western Balkans.
More than 50 young people followed the training modules and participated in mobility exchanges in partners countries to visit successful work integration social enterprises (WISEs) or social enterprises (SE). Moreover, this project aimed to strengthen regional/national/local networks of WISEs and social enterprises in the region, promoting their socio-economic impact and achieve, among others, sustainable and inclusive growth.
This final conference of the WISEs4Youth project entitled “Support policies towards youth social entrepreneurship in the Western Balkans and beyond“ will take place in a hybrid format in Brussels and on Zoom on the 19th of March 2024 from 9.30AM until 12PM. It will firstly focus on presenting the EU support policies towards youth social entrepreneurship and social economy in the Western Balkans region and beyond as well as the existing national and local support initiatives towards youth entrepreneurship in general. Secondly, project's outcomes and tools will be presented together with policy recommendations to foster the development and visibility of the social business model. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to listen to young people's testimonies and main takeaways from their participation to the training courses and study visits in successful WISEs and social enterprises.
